Taj Mahal 195

199 IIDA ACCLAIM Award: Winner2000 Design Journal Award for Design Excellence: Silver AwardTaj Mahal is a fabric inspired by the colors and images of antique textiles of India. The seven colorways are reminiscent of vegetable-dyed cotton fabrics that have faded over time. Its floating circle pattern reminds one of the classic Indian mirror fabrics and simple paisley and floral patterns evenly spaced on a plain background. The silk-like quality of the fabric is as fragile looking as a sari, yet the quilted polyester construction is rated for heavy duty wear. The larger dramatic scale and soft mid-tone neutral tones of Taj Mahal makes it especially appealing for use in residential and hospitality interiors for upholstery drapery and wallcovering or as a special statement in corporate spaces.
