Authentic Navajo designs are brought to life by our artists, softening and intensifying a decor. The pattern is based on ancient American Indian design. Navajo snow designs are derived from patterns hundreds of years old which have been passed down for generations of Native American artists, and have been used in rugs, baskets and jewelry. More than just pleasing patterns, these designs have deep spiritual significance. Included are representations of a waterbird, the sacred healing herb peyote, and the medicine wheel.
