Chamberlain Professional Products introduces a new line of LiftMaster UL325-2010 Compliant Medium-Duty Logic operators, an innovative, easy to program system for medium use commercial door applications that allows professional door dealers to comply with upcoming regulatory requirements regarding commercial door safety. As many industry professionals are already aware, effective August 29, 2010, Underwriters Laboratories will require all UL-Listed and UL-Labeled operators to continuously monitor for the presence of a primary monitored entrapment protection system, such as approved photo-sensors or a monitored sensing edge. The addition of this new mandatory primary entrapment feature is to provide an operating mode beyond basic constant contact to close operation, which is critical, as government, state and local building codes and application requirements will likely require UL-Listed and UL-Labeled product in the near future.
