Developed by Ford and Earl Design and John Bodag, the moniker derives from a 16th century Greek term meaning “something sawnâ€Â. The design intent is the creation of a form that is carved or “sawn†from a solid block. Al “cuts†or angles are based on a 5, 10, or 20-degree angle progression. These angled surfaces animate the overall form by the manner in which they reflect ambient light or create shadowed planes.
We are a bespoke contract furniture design and manufacturing company based in the Finger Lakes region of NY.
