The Eclipse , lighting and louver dimmer, is an extension of the MicroPanel -iDim. The compact, self-contained unit combines control of both electric lighting and louvers within a skylight or vertical glazing.Louver Motors require the addition of and must be compatible with the TwiLight louver motor controller.Operation:Often in an architectural space such as a classroom, louvers are mounted in the skylights to allow room occupants to darken the space. Once louvers are used to manually darken the room, the typical photosensor wants to compensate for the decreased daylight by increasing electric light - in this case, the opposite of the desired effect. Integrating louvers and electric lights into the GR 2400 system solves this problem.A single slide dimmer first "dims" the lights, and once the lights are off continues to darken the room by closing the louvers of the skylight. Conversly, the room may be brightened; first by gradually opening the skylight louvers until they are fully open followed by raising the electric lights to full power. This provides a simple and elegant solution for top-lit applications.
