The Design Process
The Objective
The Mosaic Series was created to improve public waste and recycling systems by addressing common issues like poor sorting due to unclear signage. Our goal was to develop a flexible, high-impact container that could adapt to different environments, support better user behavior, and even generate ad revenue.
The Team
Our founder and CEO played an active role in the design process, working closely with our R&D team. His recognition for the need for signage on waste and recycling containers helped guide key decisions around user communication and modular functionality.
The Solution
The Mosaic Series is a customizable, reconfigurable container system with enhanced signage for better sorting. Its modular design allows for easy updates or expansion, and integrated ad panels offer added value. It’s a modern, adaptable solution for changing public space needs.
Sustainability
Sustainability is central to the design and development of the Mosaic Series. Using CarbonGraph technology, we conducted a full life cycle assessment of the product—from raw material extraction to end-of-life. This analysis revealed a carbon footprint of 42.1 kg CO₂-eq per 1 Unit Mosaic Single Station. By quantifying the environmental impact at every stage, we’re able to make more informed decisions around materials, design, and manufacturing, and provide our clients with transparent, data-driven sustainability insights.
