Description: Hinoki is the Japanese word for Cypress tree. The Japanese Cypress tree is very rare, taking 100 years to reach maturity. It is prized for the elegance of its fine grain detail. Due to its rarity, Hinoki is used almost exclusively in high-end interiors. This patchwork design was created by alternating hand laid flitches of Japanese Cypress wood.
