British-born rug artist Rosemary Hallgarten had a nomadic childhood (her father was a UN legal counsel). Today she lives in the San Francisco Bay Area, and her work is cross-cultural by design. Her faux Zebra rug may look like a safari classic, but it's actually Alpaca yarn woven in Peru.
Rosemary Hallgarten, Inc. specializes in custom rugs, pillow, throws and fabric. Each product is hand-made by artisans in South American and Nepal. Devoted to the "Experience of Texture," Rosemary works with the most luxurious fibers in the world, including alpaca, cashmere, wool, silk, cactus, nettle and hemp.
