Affectionately called a "high daddy" chest by the Ruffin family of Evelynton Plantation, this handsome chest of drawers is similar to those prevalent in the middle Atlantic states during the period 1770-1795. Of mahogany solids and veneers, it features an imposing crown, quarter round fluted pilasters, tall ogee-bracket feet, period brass bail hardware and escutcheons. Bracket feet.
