In a unique twist to the standard pools and aquariums typically requested of RPT, this private residence in Southern California combines the two elements together. Sandwiched between the swimming pool and a lounging bar in the basement is an aquarium made out of thick, R-Cast acrylic sheets. What makes this project unique is that swimmers in the pool on the other side of the aquarium are able to see directly into the aquarium; viewers in the basement are able to see not only the aquarium, but the swimmers in the pool in such a way that it looks as though the two are merged together.
