The Design Process

The space was designed to be very open plan, with perfumers & evaluators hot-spotting – no one has assigned workstations which is very uncommon for perfumers. Special attention had to be paid to creating enough enclosed spaces where air circulation was key and smells could be properly extracted in order for the perfumers to have function spaces to ‘smell’. Very organic materials, natural woods, lots of green materials which is the ethos of most perfumer companies as they are using sustainable & natural product. 

The team included Chase Kaars, Caela Mone, Michael Rait, and more.

Notes

Most of the lighting featured copper accents, the ceiling was mostly open slab, we coordinated with an acoustic engineer to ensure that sound levels in the space would not be too overpowering and installed a lot of pendant lighting and cove light details to add a sense of splendor.
