HOTEL HABITA

The client engaged Ezequiel Farca to transform the rooftop of its Enrique Norten-designed hotel building into an urban oasis and refuge from the busy city below. Farca´s design takes cues from the building´s striking glass curtainwall and modern architecture. A black ceramic tile wall, laced with white tree silhouettes, shelters one side of the pool area from the wind. The wall is the handiwork of internationally-renowned Dutch artist, Jan Hendrix. Teak and stainless steel lounge chairs with inviting, plump cushions provide the perfect canvas for a nurtured suntan during the day, or an evening round of mojitos among friends. An oversized public fireplace framed by dual loveseats overlooks the entire rooftop, with sweeping views of perimeter trees and the city skyline beyond. With its stunning vistas and unparalleled urban vibe, Habita´s rooftop lounge has become famous among Polanco´s trendsetters and young professionals, who regularly congregate to connect, compare stories, and share a moment above the city.
