Bacchus & Cybil

by Arthur H. NorbyYear: 2000 Bronze Edition of 8 © Copyright 2004 Arthur H. Norby, Sculptor In 1990 Arthur Noby was in Paris with his son, Kevin a landscape architect. They were touring gardens, parks and museums around Paris. In one of the gardens there was a large terra cotta sculpture of Bacchus on a burro, surrounded by dancing girls. Arthur so enjoyed the playfulness of this terra cotta sculpture he was determined to create a sculpture as playful, and has since cast both a large and petite version of Bacchus. Castings available.
