The Mercer suspension was developed by Catalan manufacturer Javier M. Borras and industrial designer Joan Gaspar who wanted to create an elegant hand-blown fixture reminiscent of those used in the beautiful ballrooms of the 1920's and 1930's. The result was the modern version- The Mercer Pendant.
