Jesco Lighting Group ADEX 2008 Competition Descriptive Copy for: “Guzuntight Guzuntight is a strikingly colorful collection of contemporary, original-design, hand-slumped (shaped, folded) fused glass pendant lights shaped like draped handkerchiefs in “cool, “warm, transparent and opaque colors. Guzuntight provides combination nonglare ambient direct, and diffused indirect accent, illumination within striped eye-catching designs. Each model works across a range of decorative interior applications that include building lobbies, reception rooms, corridors, conference and meeting spaces; corporate dining rooms and executive suites; healthcare waiting rooms; hospitality venues; and upscale residential interiors. Guzuntight pendants are characterized by individually colored lighting designs, with aesthetical continuity. No two are exactly alike. The pendants look like color striped, draped and folded glass handkerchiefs that are unique at any time, but especially come to life when illuminated from within. Mid-scale, curved, smooth-edged glass shades fill with nonglare diffused light and radiate it with a colored iridescence. Polished metal suspension rods and matching domed canopies, at the top of the pendant and on the ceiling, respectively, contribute to the overall contemporary, unique aesthetic. Pendants each employ a single xenon-gas low-voltage bi-pin 50-watt lamp with a long, maintenance-free operating life. Aluminum fittings are in satin nickel or chrome finishes.
