Engineered for performance and compliance, SECU features a Dark-Sky-friendly design and an optional 590nm amber LED for turtle-friendly coastal areas. The white light version offers 3000K, 4000K, and 5000K options. It is a fast, sustainable way to turn security bollards into an active, illuminated deterrent.

The Design Process
The development of SECU was a direct response to the surge in vehicle-based ram raids and the limitations of traditional security infrastructure. While steel bollards provide physical protection, they often become invisible hazards at night, creating blind spots for CCTV and pedestrians. Access Fixture's engineering goal was to transform these passive barriers into active safety assets without compromising their structural integrity.
Access Fixtures developed a slide-over architecture specifically for the industry-standard 6-inch OD steel pipe. This allows for a 30-minute retrofit that requires zero drilling, trenching, or site downtime. Using die-cast aluminum for the housing with an IK07 impact-resistant rating, the design ensures the unit can withstand the rigors of high-traffic storefronts and loading docks. This approach delivers a sophisticated form of integrated physical security, turning a raw industrial pipe into a high-performance architectural fixture that serves as a visible deterrent while preserving the host bollard’s full stopping power.

SECU provides a net-zero path for infrastructure upgrades, eliminating the carbon-intensive excavation and copper wiring required for traditional lighting. By utilizing 100% renewable solar energy via high-capacity LiFePO₄ batteries, the system operates independently of the municipal grid, ensuring critical perimeter illumination even during power outages.
SECU is engineered for Dark-Sky compliance with a B0-U1-G0 BUG rating, directing light precisely onto the ground to eliminate sky glow and light trespass.
