Sustainability
It is Hale Mfg. Company's intent to conduct all aspects of business in an environmentally responsible way. As manufacturers of wood bookcases, library furniture and related cabinetry Hale uses fine hardwoods and hardwood veneers. Wood is considered the one natural resource that is renewable and sustainable with proper forest management. When purchasing lumber and related products, Hale makes every effort to purchase from reputable mills operating within the Northeast region of North America. It is Hale Company's policy to refuse using native Rain Forest species of wood in our products at all times. Majority of the lumber purchased is supplied from forests within a 75-mile radius of the Hale plant located in Upstate NY.
