Life in the Country vignettes fishing, harvesting and gardening scenes, all executed in the tradition of Delft tile. Bands of country fowl, strawberries, plums and grapes are again rendered in colors from a soft, natural palette; the checkerboard pattern is fashioned in white and a muted green.
