The table’s designer, Morten Nikolajsen, has chosen a material that is new to the corporate sector, which is often dominated by steel, aluminium and plastic elements. The wood brings both a warmth and an interior-designed feeling to office spaces and the material also responds to the trend in fusing office and home because it brings the atmosphere of the private environment to the modern workspace.
The simple construction of MN201 also adds flexibility to work spaces, as it allows for the table to be extended to meet the needs of larger gatherings, and for the table top to be as long as required.
Sustainability
The wood used for MN201 is FSC-certified, meaning that it is harvested from forests that are responsibly managed, socially beneficial, environmentally conscious and economically viable. Furthermore, the FSC certification ensures that a forest is well managed, from the protection of indigenous people’s rights, to the methods of felling trees. The simple design of our meeting table also reduces harm to the environment as its manufacturing process is kept to an absolute minimum, ensuring the lowest possible impact to the environment.

HOWE Furniture was founded in 1928 in Connecticut by Harold Howe. Inspired by the early Bauhaus movement – and the principle of form following function – HOWE started out making just about any furniture that was simple and outstandingly flexible. We take pride in continuing to explore this modern design tradition.
