Twin-Bin¢â€ž¢

Gold Award
Inscape has introduced a revolutionary new storage solution that opens a new world of planning possibilities while reducing overhead and energy consumption. Using Inscape's new TWIN-BIN, the need for panel-based storage can now be accommodated unobtrusively, without requiring high systems panels or task lighting to compensate for shadowing from overhead light fixtures. The TWIN-BIN installs within the Platform panel and protrudes by only 5 into the adjacent workstations, eliminating shadows from overhead lights and the need for supplementary task lighting. The bin is divided in half by a rigid septum with half the contents accessible from either side. The slim profile of the TWIN-BIN makes it less prominent in the overall office design and allows installation in panels as low as 37 high. The lower panel height requirement is an asset when pursuing LEED certification as it allows greater natural light penetration into a building. The TWIN-BIN also reduces energy consumption by eliminating the need for task lighting. When used in combination with new Inscape worksurface shapes the floorspace required for a typical workstation can be reduced by as much as 14%. TWIN-BIN creates more planning options and is available in 60 standard colors with either painted steel of woodgrain doors. The TWIN-BIN was designed for Inscape by John Edwards of Hatch Design Inc.
