The new, freestanding Coachella tub from U.S. luxury bath manufacturer Hydro Systems redefines bathing as an ethereal experience. Inspired by California’s prolific mid-century modern design and taking cues from the residential rooflines by renowned architects that defined Palm Springs and Coachella Valley, the tub’s fluid form unfolds like butterfly wings on both sides and is characterized by its v-shaped silhouette. Measuring 68” in length, Coachella is outfitted with a 26-degree back slope and an integrated lumbar support that contour the body for optimal comfort, while a seamless integral pedestal elevates the bath to new heights. Paying homage to the creativity reflected in the modernist ethos of the 1950s and 60s, Coachella is made from Hydro Luxe SS™, a premium solid surface material and is fully customizable in color and finish.
As with all Hydro Systems’ tubs, Coachella can be optimized with any of the brand’s high-performing hydro therapies such as Cold Plunge, Hydro Indulge, and Hydro Fusion. All tubs can also be configured to any size or format (freestanding, alcove, in-set) and are suitable for residential, hospitality, spa and/or commercial use. Hydro Systems has been transforming the bath through the restorative power of water since 1978. Today, the third-generation family-run business is highly regarded for crafting bespoke bathing systems that are healing works of art. The company’s products—made entirely by hand and in the U.S.—are defined by innovative design, fine craftsmanship, high-quality materials and are fully customized to meet clients’ visions of wellness.
The Design Process
Coachella was the result of a design process aimed at creating a freestanding tub that can span design aesthetics from modern to transitional design. Sculptural design meets comfort with integrated lumbar support for optimal comfort. Coachella measures 68 inches long and is outfitted with a 26-degree back slope that contours the body and can be optimized with any of the brand’s cutting-edge hydrotherapies, including Cold Plunge, Hydro Indulge, Hydro Fusion and Thermal Air, transforming a soaking vessel into a therapeutic or indulgent at-home experience.
