The Performance Series P35 3-way center channel loudspeaker was custom-designed to superbly reproduce the human voice. Many movie soundtracks consist mainly of dialogue, so the center speaker shoulders the burden of filling a home theater. The P35 easily handles the job. And it's video-shielded, so it can be placed on top of a television. The P35 performs like a pro, with technology developed by JBL's Professional division. Equipped with JBL's tried-and-true titanium-laminate tweeters and PolyPlas drivers, the speaker reproduces dialogue with extreme clarity. The lows and mids, efficiently boosted by a 3-inch midrange and dual 5-1/4-inch woofers, and assisted by the FreeFlow flared port, are loud and clear, without unwanted distortion or boominess. The Elliptical Oblate Spheroidal (EOS ) waveguide ensures that every seat is the best in the house. Since the transducers were purpose-designed to work together harmoniously, JBL's simple Straight-Line Signal Path (SSP) crossover network divides the signal with minimal processing (and minimal opportunity to degrade the signal). Dual sets of sturdy gold-plated, 5-way binding posts enable bi-amping or bi-wiring. With the high, midrange and low frequencies isolated, the P35's four transducers can reproduce their frequency ranges more efficiently and with greater accuracy. The computer-designed, lock-mitred cabinet virtually eliminates distortion, and its slim European profile won't overpower your room.
