This large sofa has been adapted from an antique settee found at Westover Plantation. An impressive element of the frame is the ornate strap-work on the bottom rail which has been finished with gadrooning along the edge. Corner fretwork brackets support and enhance the straight legs and base rail. Gracefully shaped arms and camelback are a traditional favorite.
