the sculpture conceptualizes the commissioner’s artistic career through a volume reminiscent of a mature flower. The composition combines elements of elegant shapes and strong Presence that characterizes the client’s charisma, a red carpet designer. The foliage represents the creative development of the Artist, which I perceive as fluid, dynamic and refined. The sober colors of the work symbolize the fine textiles used in catwalk dresses. The work is composed of multiple triangular shapes with acute angles both in its trunk and in the petals. These triangular shapes represent the essential tool, a pin, in the manufacture of Haute Couture. The Lotus Flower represents the perfection of the spirit, perfection of mind and rebirth, characteristics that I perceives on the Client.
