The GE SX-1 SEM traction control was designed to provide a separately excited transistorized control alternative for industrial, commercial and utility applications from 24 to 72 volts. Use of discrete components provides design flexibility and results in a more cost effective motor control. These controls can be supplied with GE separately excited traction motors to provide systems optimized for a specific OEM vehicle platform.
