Pushbutton Switches

The GE pushbutton switch family provides a wide variety of features and sizes to cover the specific application requirements of the appliance and air conditioning markets. The switches operate using a logic system comprised of pushrods, sliding members (sliders), and switch assemblies (see FIG. 1). Camming surfaces on the top and bottom of the sliders provide the interface between the pushbutton actuation and the switching of the circuitry. Because of the uniquely designed logic system, one pushbutton action can change one, several, or all of the switch circuits at a time. This circuit flexibility can be used to reduce the total system cost, eliminating the need for auxiliary relays and simplifying the sequence timer functions. GE pushbutton switches are produced in two body styles, each utilizing the slider logic design. These are the 130/140 Series and the 110 Series.
