Jofco was founded in 1922 by the Sturmfamily in Jasper, a city in southern Indianawell recognized for its German Americanwoodworking heritage. For over eightyyears, the business has been independentlyowned and operated by the familymembers, now in their fourth generation.Throughout its existence, Jofco has focusedexclusively on the manufacture anddistribution of quality crafted wood officefurniture. The company operates two facilities inJasper, one housing its corporate headquartersand the other its manufacturing operations.Until the late 1980's, Jofco concentratedon the design and manufacture ofwood office furniture in traditional styles,then quite popular for ‘executive' private officeand conference room applications. Asthe demand for quality wood office furniturebroadened to include a new breed ofmanagers, professionals and administratorswith different style preferences,Jofco initiated a major design & developmentprogram to broaden its product offering.Over the past ten years, Jofco has expandedinto transitional and contemporaryoffice furniture styles.
