The Design Process
Handmade the old fashion way starting with a hand-cut slab from a block of clay that is hand-rolled, then slab-rolled by hand. Each tile is hand-cut by the artist, fired to 2280 degrees, glazed and fired. Often to achieve a desired glaze effect, the hand-glazed ceramic tiles are glazed again, until the desired color or texture results.
Sustainability
All handmade tiles are designed and made to last for generations to come. Excess clay during the initial base-tile making process is re-worked by hand and re-used.
