NEW DIMMABLE GE COMPACT FLUORESCENTS HELP HOTELS SAVE ENERGY, INCREASE PROFITS A newly expanded line of GE compact fluorescent lamps (CFL) affords hotel operators the opportunity to fill every guestroom light socket with energy-efficient GE CFLs, and cut energy costs by as much as 77 percent with CFL-for-incandescent swaps.Compared to other dimmable CFLs operating on standard incandescent dimmers, the new 15-watt R30 and 26-watt R40 Dimming Reflector CFLs provide vastly expanded dimming ranges; smoother, more precise dimming control; and softer diffused light for virtually any down-lighting application. Both new products are ideal for use in such settings as hotels, resorts, offices, schools, government buildings and multi-unit housing. Each GE Dimming Reflector CFL offers up to three times the rated life of standard 65-watt or 90-watt incandescent reflectors. Both provide a flicker-free instant start in less than one second in temperatures as low as five-degrees F. The use of rare earth phosphors in the 15-watt R30 (720 lumens) and 26-watt R40 (1300 lumens) results in a bright, vibrant color unique to GE CFLs. Hotels and other businesses not using these new GE Dimming Reflector CFLs in place of incandescent reflectors give up as much as 77 percent in energy savings.
