The Hotel Olinda ensemble was originally designed for Darren Hanault Interior Design as an extension of Iris’s successful Olinda line. Hotel Olinda is vast. Its mere presence generates the perception that more exists than that which is immediately obvious. It represents the pinnacle of evolving modern techniques to replace materials and create a lighter form of art.Playing on the concept of illusion, the Hotel Olinda adds new character and depth to each individual space. By combining the design of traditional chandeliers with the postmodern statement of urban cubes, floor sconces or wall pieces, Hotel Olinda espouses the belief that an image of an object is more meaningful than the object itself.
