The Wellhouse at Blackberry Farm

Blackberry Farm, an exclusive Relais & Chateaux resort community situated at the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, has been a cherished client for Johnson Architecture, Inc. since 1999.

Carefully sited in a tree-lined meadow at the edge of Blackberry Farm’s picturesque property, the Wellness Center & Spa offers seasonal, farm-inspired spa treatments as well as a range of fitness options.

Developed as both a response to guests’ increasingly active interests and as an ideal complement to Blackberry Farm’s existing range of amenities, the Wellhouse includes eight treatment rooms with two wet treatment rooms, a reception and retail area, fitness center, locker/changing areas, lounge and staff areas.

The facility is surrounded by aromatic herb gardens and tranquil pools. The thoughtfully designed facility also incorporates steam rooms, quiet lounges, one-on-one consultation areas, a classroom and juice bar.

In keeping with the property’s rustic yet refined style, the structure pairs reclaimed materials and state-of-the-art technology to create a reimagined barn that integrates seamlessly into Blackberry Farm’s classic country estate while exuding the same sense of modern balance guests will experience during their stay.

Johnson Architecture is a design firm that provides architecture, planning, and full in-house interior design services for projects of all types including commercial, education, entertainment, government, industrial, medical, residential, restaurant and spiritual.
