Edge (TM) Thermostat

Platinum Award
At a mere .8 thick when unstacked, the Edge thermostats are unlike anything Carrier has ever produced. It's thinner than traditional thermostats, a plasma TV and even most standard door trim. The Edge thermostat comes standard with a silver, stainless steel-like finished door. To compliment any décor, optional designer doors can be ordered separately for the Edge thermostat. These interchangeable covers are presently available individually in gold luster, saddlebrush, espresso, onyx, quartz and natural wood grain finishes. In its non-programmable configuration, Edge thermostat features a Touch ‚¬ËœN' Go technology that offers three simple buttons ‚¬â€œ Home, Away and Sleep, that provide homeowners with energy savings without being attached to a schedule. A one-time simple programming of the three buttons will allow the comfort level to be changed at the touch of a button, providing control and ease of use. Another industry first, the Edge offers an additional ExP expansion port technology for its programmable configuration. This add-on accessory makes it possible to program the thermostat using a personal computer. The ExP memory card plugs into the USB port on a computer. Software contained on the memory card allows the homeowner to program custom comfort settings. Simply replacing the ExP memory card into the expansion port on the side of the thermostat transfers the programming to the thermostat and retains the thermostat's latest settings for viewing on the computer next time there is a need to revisit them.
