Sports Park's Restrooms Deliver On-brand Guest Experience

The restrooms at Dignity Health Sports Park received a significant upgrade in 2025. Check out how Bradley’s restroom partitions, lavatories and accessories elevated the function, aesthetics, maintenance, and overall fan experience for this venue, which is slated to host the Olympics in 2028.

Challenge

As Southern California’s home for world-class sports and entertainment, Dignity Health Sports Park (DHSP) welcomes millions of fans, athletes, and visitors each year. The 125-acre campus—home of Major League Soccer’s LA Galaxy and a key venue for the LA28 Olympic and Paralympic Games—was preparing for several major upgrades to elevate the guest experience. Along with improvements to seating, concessions, and hospitality spaces, the DHSP design and operations team identified the restrooms as a core area requiring modernization.

With 15 primary public restrooms and four premium restrooms serving VIP and hosting areas, durability, guest comfort, and a consistent “on-brand” experience were top priorities. Across all venues, the team sought restroom products that could withstand extreme traffic, graffiti, and heavy daily use—while delivering a sleek, modern aesthetic appropriate for a premier sports destination.

In preparation for LA28, DHSP also aimed to incorporate thoughtful details that would noticeably improve functionality, privacy, and overall user experience. “Restrooms take a tremendous amount of traffic, so we set out to raise the standard,” said General Manager Adam Duvendeck. “Our goal was to make the space feel modern and thoughtful, with details patrons would immediately notice.”

Solution

To achieve this elevated fan experience, the DHSP team conducted an extensive evaluation of restroom products from multiple manufacturers. For partitions, durability was paramount. The team requested 4x4 phenolic samples from each vendor and personally subjected them to aggressive field tests—including scraping, etching, and marking with knives, ink, and permanent markers. After weeks of stress-testing, Bradley’s phenolic material outperformed all competitors, showing no damage or ghosting.

Based on this performance, DHSP selected Bradley’s phenolic partition models for both its main public restrooms and premium restroom spaces. In the main restrooms, the phenolic partitions feature a clean gray color palette designed to minimize the appearance of wear and support heavy daily use. In the premium restrooms, DHSP selected phenolic partitions in a rich charcoal color with a wood-grain aesthetic. Across both restroom types, the partitions’ gap-free, milled construction and hardware with occupancy indicators provided enhanced privacy and helped improve restroom traffic flow.

Elvari Washroom Accessories, such as towel dispensers, waste receptacles, shelves, and LED mirrors, were specified in DHSP’s restrooms. In the premium restrooms, Elvari accessories were finished in Brushed Brass, a detail that brought cohesion across these spaces and played a pivotal role in creating warm, inviting restrooms that complement the Spanish-influenced architectural details in premium hosting areas.

DHSP also installed Bradley’s Express® Lavatory Systems made of durable Terreon® Solid Surface, providing hygienic, efficient and sustainable handwashing solutions for high-traffic environments.

Creating Elevated, Durable, and Fan-Forward Restrooms

The renovated DHSP restrooms showcase how thoughtful design, durable materials, and modern fixtures can transform the fan experience across an entire sports and entertainment campus. Bradley’s phenolic partitions offer a minimalist, architectural look engineered with strength to withstand tough usage, graffiti, and high traffic across both main public and premium restrooms. The phenolic material’s resilience—proven during DHSP’s rigorous sample testing—ensures long-term performance, with color palettes used to support both high-visibility public spaces and elevated premium environments.

Bradley’s Elvari Washroom Accessories further unify the design throughout the facility. While the main restrooms benefit from Elvari’s durability and cohesive, easy-to-maintain design, the premium restrooms incorporate the collection in a Brushed Brass finish, providing a warm, elevated touch that aligns with the upgraded architectural palette. “Using Elvari accessories in warm brass brought everything together,” Duvendeck said. “From the mirrors to the shelves to the dispensers, it created a unified, elevated look.”

The Express Lavatory Systems, crafted from Terreon Solid Surface, support efficient handwashing while reducing maintenance demands. Their seamless, non-porous surfaces resist bacteria and stains and make cleaning easier during high-turnover events.

Fans have already taken notice of the improvements. “People immediately commented on the lighting, the privacy screens, and the added shelves,” said Duvendeck. “All those small touchpoints make a big difference in how people feel about the venue.”
