The tables according to Bartoli Design: sculptural and minimal, combine functionality and quality
The tables, central to conviviality and protagonists of the dining room, characterize Bartoli Design's design philosophy.
Tables are aesthetically significant in space organization and are intended to remain in the environment for a long time. The studio dedicates an in-depth research that focuses not only on design but also on the functionality and quality of materials and craftsmanship.
Over the years, Bartoli Design has highlighted both elements of the table, the top and the base, to create solutions suitable for residential and contract use, always respectful of the soul of the company for which they are designed.
The tables signed by Bartoli Design have a timeless style, whether they present a sculptural and creatively evident sign or have minimal lines capable of concealing a technological core. Within the wide existing choice, the studio is committed, together with the companies and their peculiarities, to renew the proposal, improve performance, deepen the experimentation of materials and always look to the future: "We continuously research which materials to choose and how to use them for high-performance in tables". The recent Hoa dining table collection, designed for Lago, showcases solutions free from rigid schemes, where the table is intended to be the main element for socializing in the living area. Hoa offers tops with nature-inspired shapes, supported by sturdy legs with metallic, elliptical, and cylindrical finishes, creating balanced compositions. The arrangement of the supports changes for each geometry and size of the top, in a constant search for volume harmony and comfort in use.
"While designing the tables of the Hoa system, we thought about how to enjoy them, both for dining and for study or work, with flexibility and an informal attitude, exactly communicated by the roundness. At the same time, the table remains a strongly present and sizable element in the living space: therefore, we wanted to characterize it with a sculptural softness that invites to love it as an object in itself and as the hub of the living space." The recent proposal that highlights the formal, material and authentic research carried out by the Studio, as well as the ability to interact with the company, its image and its audience, is the Poe table system created for Laurameroni.
This system consists of two elements, the top and the legs, both distinctive and unique to the project, in aesthetic and formal balance with each other. The legs have a basic and slender shape that allows multiple configurations to support circular, oval, rectangular, square tops or even custom-made ones.
Elegant and with a strong personality, the Poe tables are characterized by tops with rounded and inlaid edges - in marble, smooth or glossy lacquered wood - and by legs with an oval section in smooth wood, glossy lacquered, lacquered with metallic paint or covered with a handcrafted inlay in black rye straw.
"The twenty-year collaboration with Laurameroni and the aesthetic sensitivity that we share with the company," explains Bartoli Design, "have allowed us to express and deepen values that are important to us, such as research on materials and their expression through processing, the fusion of tradition and contemporaneity, all elements that we have also brought into the Poe table system."
When the focus is on functionality, minimal models emerge, such as the Sushi table designed for Kristalia, which, over 20 years after its creation, continues to be current.
Born from the fruitful collaboration in 2002 between Bartoli Design and Kristalia, in a fixed or extendable version, it is still among the best sellers of the Friulian company and represents the perfect synthesis of the skills and philosophy shared by Kristalia and Bartoli Design, both dedicated to qualitative, aesthetic and functional research for long-lasting products, icons of design, technologies and materials used.
The architects' and Kristalia's intention was to create a table with excellent, essential, versatile, innovative and durable performance.
The shapes of Sushi are clean and strong: the thin profile of the top is supported by voluminous legs, a precise and invisible technology ensures its extendibility without any flexion.
Bartoli Design concludes: "Even though more than 20 years have passed, we remember well how intensely we worked to make the extension system simple, functional and aesthetically unobtrusive, a need felt across many companies and end customers, for a clean and user- friendly result, both when the table is closed and when it is open".
Thanks to a system of telescopic guides, the Sushi table is able to reach almost double its length and to maintain, in each extension, a continuous surface of only 10 mm thick, without the user perceiving, from any perspective, the presence of technical elements and thicknesses, fused in the slender structure made of anodized aluminum.
