Spacekit: Sustainable Style, Thoughtfully Manufactured Here in the USA

Wall art eliminates damage to walls and installs in minutes

It’s easy to create a beautiful design, but how often does thought go into how it is manufactured? Spacekit, a game-changing customizable wall art system was sustainably designed from every angle and extends through every facet of Spacekit’s operations.

“We believe in reducing our environmental impact with thoughtfully sourced materials and zero waste manufacturing,” said Rob Barber, Vice President of Modular Systems and R&D. “Leaning into green is something that’s very important to us. So we dialed into primarily two pieces of raw material: an HDPE plastic, which makes up our frame system, and a product made from upcycled rice halls.”

Sustainably designed with an easy-to-manage price-point, Spacekit’s curated graphic designs help take some of the guesswork out of decorating, while a flat-pack shipping process provides the ability to fill a large wall space with something that comes in a lightweight, completely recyclable packaging system. The cardboard shipper is made of recycled materials and has a dissolvable packing material (meaning no packaging waste!).

“We’ve built a manufacturing process that prevents raw materials from going to the landfill,” adds Barber. “Every single component of our frame system is cut from a single piece of HDPE plastic. Any leftover material from our facility goes back to the material producers to be repurposed into new materials.”

Spacekit’s panels are made with ACRE™, an innovative, 100% tree-free wood alternative new building material comprised of recycled rice hulls free of phenol, formaldehyde and adhesives is a win-win for the environment.

Spacekit’s snap-and-go design and self-contained framing system allow easy reconfiguration and even removal when changing up a room, or moving to a new home. Built in the USA to last, should design needs change in the future the system can be sent back for recycling and Spacekit will cover shipping costs.

Spacekit is the innovative design of event and entertainment industry designers at ATOMIC, whose 25+ years of experience in creative design and modular, configurable products allowed them to shift gears during the COVID-19 pandemic to cultivate this new art and home design brand.

The system’s art panels are available in 25 cm (9.8”) or 50 cm (19.7”) frames (as well as custom sizes upon request) and can be hung in multiple configurations and layouts with no-hassle hardware hung with Command® Strips from 3M. Panels can be mounted as one large art piece or spaced out with the included 2” and 4” measuring spacers, which allows a wide variety of patterns and looks.
